Guess Who: Cast & Crew Are Put On A Lockdown By Hotel

Boxofficeindia.com has published a blind item about the cast & crew of an upcoming movie being put on a lockdown by hotel due to unpaid dues.

Looks like the slowdown in the economy is biting bollywood as well. Several film financiers earn their monies from other businesses. So when other businesses face a slowdown, bollywood too gets affected. Thankfully the days of smugglers, underworld dons financing bollywood movies are behind us. Most of the film financiers are corporate entities or family run businness studios.

The actor mentioned in the blind item is easily one of the most talented actors in the industry. That explains why he escapes flop movies unscathed. Despite several of his movies flopping, he is flooded with work. Even in flops films, his performance is exemplary. Like a celebrity mentioned on radio recently – he has garnered respect on the sheer basis of his talent & without conventional looks or physique.

The actor came across as a sleazeball & an MCP when he gave out details of his sexcapedes in his biography. This made his exes livid. While it is common for celebs to name their exes & give out intricate details of their relationships in hollywood, India is not yet ready for it. But then, the way he spoke about his women made us cringe.

Blind Item

There are times when filmmakers aim to achieve much more than they can possibly reach.

Take this upcoming film for example. It was announced not too long back with a credible actor but then went through some casting turbulence with the lead actress. After that got sorted, the film, already delayed, finally went on floors at an outdoor location

But then, as the team kept shooting at this location, they ran out of the moolah they were allotted. Now, with no new monies coming in, the team had no finances to pay the on location bills. Things got interesting when the people who were owed the money put the entire team of the film, including the lead actors, on a lockdown.

They have now taken the belongings of the team from their rooms and kept it hostage till they get their payment cleared. Even more interesting is the fact that our lead actor managed to somehow sneak away from all this drama.

Last heard, the makers are struggling to get the payment done before any of this news gets out but they should have known that stuff like this can’t be kept under wraps for too long.
