These celebs have been signed up by a state governement’s PR agency. They are being paid for complimenting the government’s actions amid the coronavirus epedemic.

While the globe is reeling under the coronavirus epedemic, some politicians are seeing an opportunity to prove themselves. They believe that a strong performance in containing the spread of the epedemic can go a long in establishing themselves as able administrators. A media savvy third generation politician was the brains behind a tie-up with a PR firm. They have been given the task of painting a good picture of their government’s efforts.

While we dismissed this piece of gossip as hearsay, what caught our attention was low profile celebs publicly complementing the government’s work during this tough phase. Celebs are known to attend social events, but they refrain from complimenting or opposing the views or the work done by a particular government or party. Well known stars who are not generally don’t air their views, openly supporting a governement has raised eyebrows. Bollywood insiders insist that these celebs have been paid.

The PR job became obvious when one such celeb was accused of copying another celeb’s tweet. This celeb’s team replied saying that all the celebs had been given the same tweet to copy-paste!
