RANVEER SINGH WILL DABBLE IN SUPERHERO GENRE
As the Avengers series comes to an end with Avengers:Endgame, the Marvel fans are disheartened. In light of such times, YRF has announced a sci-fi superhero flick starring Ranveer Singh. Ranveer who gave powerful performances in Padmaavat, Simbaa and Gully Boy back to back has some big budget movies lined up. Kabir Khan's 83 where he plays Kapil Dev to Karan Johar’s magnum opus multi starrer, Takht, and now buzz is that he has signed three big films under the YRF banner. Ranveer's first movie, Band Baaja Baarat was also produced by YRF. Needless to say that the actor and the production house go a long way back. He also has Maneesh Sharma's musical after that. Given his popularity, the Aditya Chopra,YRF's head feels he his the right choice who can pull off a superhero movie with ease."A few discussions have happened and it's been positive. Ranveer has liked the idea but the dates need to be figured now." The movie is said to be an action adventure sci-fi that will be a franchise. In 2018, Ranveer also dubbed the Hindi version of the comical superhero movie Deadpool starring Ryan Reynolds. His quirky style and comic timing brought in many laugh out loud moments at the theatre. Ranveer will thus join the likes of Shahrukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan who have played superheroes in the past. Ranveer's contemporary, Ranbir Kapoor,too, will be soon seen in a superhero avatar in Brahmastra. Brahmastra, whose first part will release on Christmas this year,is also to be a franchise with three movies and stars Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan and Mouni Roy in pivotal roles. It would be interesting to see the two of them in a superhero fight!
DABBANG 3 & BRAHMASTRA CLASH AVERTED
Salman Khan has tweeted the release date of Dabbang3 on Twitter confirming the clash with Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt starrer superhero movie Brahmastra. Salman also posted the poster of the movie which has him in police uniform with “Chulbul Pandey” badge.He writes,“Chulbul is back..... #Dabangg3 @sonakshisinha @arbaazSkhan @Nikhil_Dwivedi @PDdancing @SKFilmsOfficial.” Ayan Mukherji’s Brahmastra had already announced it's release earlier this month. And now with Dabbang3 releasing on the same day, Christmas is going to be a star packed. Dabbang3 with the star power of Salman Khan and the fandom of the Dabbang franchise might give Ranbir's Brahmastra a tough competition at the box office. Both of them are highly awaited movies and potential box office blockbusters. Dabbang3,directed by Prabhu Deva, and Brahmastra releases on 20th December 2019. It would have been interesting to find out who survives the battle at the box office. But it has now been reported that Brahmashtra's release has been delayed to 2020 & the clash has been averted.
VARUN NATASHA'S WEDDING POSTPONED
Varun Dhawan has been dating his childhood sweetheart, Natasha Dalal, for many years. The Kalank star,however has always kept his personal life very secluded. He recently opened up and admitted to being in a relationship with Natasha in Koffee With Karan. He also said he was thinking about settling down and starting a family. ” I’m with her (Natasha) because she has her own individuality, she has her own voice which is super strong with things she wants to do and things she wants to achieve in life.And, as her partner, that is something I want to support. And, she has been so supportive where my career is concerned, always, from day one actually,”said Varun on Koffee with Karan.
While rumours were that the two was going to be married this November, Varun's father, David Dhawan confirmed that the wedding has been postponed. The couple will tie the knot sometime next year.“His marriage will happen next year maybe. I am very happy with their relationship. What more does a father need?”, said David in an interview.
