Were Tiger & Disha Ever Really Dating

As per a report in Pinkvilla, Tiger Shroff & Disha Patani have broken up. Read our article to find out more about this relationship which feels fake.

Tiger Shroff is the son of 80’s & 90’s A-lister Jackie Shroff. Born Jai Hemant Shroff, he changed his name to Tiger when he was still in school. Jackie & Tiger’s mother – Ayesha Shroff did not have a normal relationship. They even went through financial difficulties, after their home production – Boom failed to get a release, due to rampant piracy issues. Jackie is rumored to have borrowed money from producer & friend Sajid Nadiadwala to tide over the crisis. It was Sajid Khan who launched Tiger Shroff, by casting him as the hero in his debut movie – Heropanti. Tiger followed the success up, with Baaghi & Baaghi2 – which was a huge hit. These films established Tiger as a bonafide action star. His last movie – SOTY2, did average business at the box office. But he has some very promising projects coming up – including a YRF movie with Hrithik.

Disha Patani on the other hand belongs to a middle class family. Her father is a cop in UP. She was the runner up in Femina Miss India Indore. She appeared in several ads. Her breakout role was from the movie M.S Dhoni – which was a hit. But her claim to fame was being Tiger Shroff’s GF. Her frequent dinner/lunch outings with Tiger got her a lot of publicity. She landed several big movie projects. Her guest appearance in Bharat grabbed a lot of eyeballs. She currently has 5 movies in hand. Her social media following is huge.

While it may be a happy coincidence that both the stars benefited out of the relationship, there are some things which we are finding it difficult to ignore.

1. Tiger & Disha getting papped everytime they went out together – If anybody would have spotted them entering a restaurant & alerted the paparazzi, it would take at least an hour in Mumbai’s traffic for the paps to reach the venue. But the paparazzi always seem to know where they were!
2. Blind Items – There were just too many blind items about the couple. How did the media houses know about the intricate details about their relationship. How did they know that Tiger’s mother & sister approve of their relationship? How did they know that the couple was fighting over Tiger’s closeness to Tara Sutaria. Tara Sutaria is now rumored to be dating Siddharth Malhotra (One question for KJo – Whom is Siddharth dating? Is it Tara Sutaria or is it Kiara Advani or is some foreign model? Make up your mind). If Tara was the reason for the breakup, wouldn’t Tiger be dating her now?
3. Aditya Thackeray – Lately, Disha Patani has been seen in the company of Shiv Sena scion Aditya Thackeray. Not surprisingly, their outings together too were covered by the paparazzi. We saw Aditya Thackeray at a cafe some years back & nobody seemed to care. He was with a couple of friends & there were no photographers around to cover his visit to the cafe. It’s obvious that Disha’s PR is milking her growing closeness to the rising star of Maharashtra politics.

While we never doubted the Tiger-Disha relationship, a social media post made us think otherwise. Now, when we look at the way the recent events have unfolded we are almost convinced that The Tiger-Disha relationship was fake. It was managed by their PR teams, to keep them in the news. It was a mutually beneficial fake relationship.
