New Fashion Trends Seen In Recent Bollywood Movies
Bollywood films have always been a big cultural influence in our lives.Every movie brings a particular fashion with it!
Bollywood has always inspired fashion trends.
Be it Mughal-E-Azam’s Anarkali style dress that is in trend even now,or Salman Khan’s Tere Naam haircut that took youth by storm,Bollywood films have a major impact on the lives of Indians !
We love to wear dresses which was wore on-screen by someone famous and want the same accessories like the actresses wear in the movies.
It is said that cinema is a reflection of reality.
Let’s have a look on some super stylish and glamorous looks from recent Bollywood movies
1.Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya
Alia Bhatt in BKD perfectly captured the small town style vibe with perfection in this film.
I loved all her looks from the movie, but I would like to focus on the lehenga-cholis donned by Alia with the ‘leheriya’dupatta!
Inspired by Rajasthani outfits, the combination of bright colours in this outfit gave out an aura of simplicity and elegance!
She gave some major fashion goals, and we got to know what kind of Rajasthani outfits we can wear to the marriage functions or some ceremonies and which colours will attract more!
2.Ae Dil Hai Mushkil
I personally loved the style of Anushka Sharma in the movie. Her outfits were traditionally yet contemporary!
Playing a bubbly Muslim woman from Lucknow ,her on-screen style was mordern but with evident Mughal roots.
For example, the long chikan and thread work kurtas teamed with ripped jeans she wore in the ‘Break up’ song!
And the long skirts paired with satin shirts and kohled eyes equally looked fabulous!
3.Bajirao Mastani and Ram Leela
Being Mastani she wore Hyderabadi Anarkalis, heavy duty angrakhas, embroidered shararas which set fashion standards high!
Those shararas were desired by the youth, and the shararas came also to the trend after this movie!
As Leela, she wore Rajputana heavily layered ghagras, contemporary cholis,mirror-work and traditional bandhanis which was also widespread in the markets!
4.Dil Dhadakne Do
The movie gave major style goals on what should we wear on the vacations!
It was all about vacay wardrobe, brunch appropriate dresses, personality glasses, dapper suits, polo necks, bright solids and cruise style!
Priyanka Chopra’s nautical bustier paired with white pants looked so cool!
Outfits of the movie were exclusively available on Amazon prior to its release!
5.Raazi
Alia’s Raazi was the onset of the saree’s comeback on the silver screen!
In the song ‘Dilbaro’,Alia is decked up in a bridal sharara and jewellery consisting of the old-world Nath and maang-tikka.
In a scene, she wore a subtle pink benarasi saree which was loved by all!
Almost all of Alia’s costume is in pastels featuring sarees with matching blouses along with simple jewellery!
This movie also includes salwar kameez in cotton prints And dupattas in lace trims which can be wore on any occasion!
6.Veere Di Wedding
In this movie,we were bowled over by the fashion sense the women displayed!
Kareena in the movie wore fuss-free jeans, basic T-shirts,off shoulder shirts and boho beachwear! The off shoulder shirt fashion in fact became popular because of this movie.
Sonam gave us fashion goals by wearing a pair of perfectly tailored white trousers, worn with a forest green blouse and a matching duster jacket !
Swara’s style statement was an inspiration for all, she wore all the bold colours and her hyper
sequinned lehengas became a trend!
7.Simmba
Sara started the trend of long skirts again with the movie Simmba!
She was seen wearing an ethnic, leaf green skirt, with a pink-coloured front panel, teamed with a pink blouse.
With a jacket thrown over this traditional outfit,Sara’s look blends Indian and Western in the most comfortable way possible!
The hoop earrings she wore in the movie also became the trend !
I personally started using hoop earrings after the movie and really it looked great!
This shows how movies have a huge impact in our lives!
So,from Coachella inspired outfits to everything gold and sequin, from metallic shirts to leather pants, from size zero to cool AF nerdy glasses- Bollywood movies have heavily influenced the evolution of Fashion!
So,these were some new trends form recent Bollywood movies !
