Tollywood had an exciting year in 2022. While some highly anticipated movies, such as Radhe Shyam and Acharya, Godfather, did not perform well at the box office, smaller films like as Sita Ramam, Karthikeya 2, and DJ Tillu did. Let's look at the Top 5 Tollywood box office grossers in 2022.

RRR - It comes as no surprise that this SS Rajamouli mega opus was the highest Tollywood grosser of the year. The movie lived up to the pre-release excitement, winning accolades and awards all around the world. RRR Telugu earned Rs 365.8 crores globally, and while more was expected, fans and filmmakers were happy with the cultural influence it had all over the world.

Sarkaru Vaari Paata- Starring Mahesh Babu and Keerthy Suresh in the main roles, Sarkaru Vaari Paata was hardly a box office success. Due to Super Star Mahesh's box-office draw, the film managed to stay afloat and perform adequately. The action film, directed by Parasuram, grossed Rs 117.7 crores.

KGF 2 - The Kannada hit fared very well in every Indian market. The film was a big hit in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and the northern states. The Yash starrer's run at the Tollywood box office, on the other hand, surprised many. The film was received on par with Telugu Tier-1 superstars and grossed Rs 100 crores in Telugu alone.

Bheemla Nayak -  Power Star Pawan Kalyan starter Bheemla Nayak  Bheemla Nayak was predicted to be a box office hit. However, the AP ticket issue, along with political factors, caused a dent in the film's collection. The film was released to great buzz but varied reviews, and it was Power Star's energetic performance that got the film rolling, resulting in a Rs 91.37 crores share.

Radhe Shyam- Tollywood's year begun on a negative note. Prabhas Radhe Shyam arrived to great hype, with fans eager to see their star on film after three years. Radhe Shyam opened to generally unfavorable reviews, and director Radha Krishna's screenplay hindered the film's performance even further. Even Prabhas' stardom couldn't save the film, and Radhe Shyam ended up earning just Rs 71 crores at the Tollywood box office, compared to Rs 140 crores at the box office.
