Aadukalam is a movie which is centred with this theme. The Dhanush and Tapsee pannu starter has Danush as an underdog who does this to draw attention as a renowned cock trainer. But Dhanush always follows his mentors words. At an instance, Dhanush had no option but to send his rooster to fight to earn money. He finally wins the name and fame as a best trainer, but his mentor is jealous of his success. What happens next is the story!

Badri

Thalapathy Vijay's Badri is one of the biggest remake hits in his career. The film is about a carefree guy named Badri, who is always around the girls. Infuriated by his younger son's behaviour his father kicks him out of the home. While he's out, things intensify as his brother (Riyaz Khan) who is a kick boxing champion gets injured. That's when Badri decides to fight in his brother's place to redeem his father's name as he wanted to see his son win the championship.

Ghilli

Ghilli is the remake of Telugu blockbuster Okkadu. Ghunashekar gave birth to a story which stays with you some 17 years after the release. This movie was termed as a major milestone for Mahesh Babu as well as Vijay. The story is about a Kabaddi medalist who is so noble about people around. He takes off to another city to play a match, there he rescues a hopeless woman (Trisha) from Prakash Raj, a big goon who plans to unwilling tie a knot. In the due process the duo falls in love. Inorder to win his love interest and his chance to prove he has to win it against Prakash Raj.

Mumaram Son Of Mahalakshmi

This film is the remake of another Telugu blockbuster movie (Amma Naana O Tamil Ammayi). The director rightly potrays the effection between a mother and a son. Halfway through the film the guy falls in love with a girl. The story runs in the backdrop of kick-boxing and one fine day when hero's mother gets an heartattack. On her deathbed, his mother entreats him to meet his father (Prakash raj) who was a champion for six times in a row. But he couldn’t digest the past, as his father left them many years ago. The rest of the story is how he manages his anger on his father and gets trained to wins the championship.

Dhoni

Kartik (Puri Akash), a 14 years old boy is deeply passionate about cricket. He aspires to be cricketer like Dhoni one day. But his father (Prakash Raj) doesn't support his will. He wanted him to pursue an MBA degree despite of his rigourous interest in cricket.

At a moment he loses his self-restraint and hits Karthik a bit harder. Unhappily the kid goes into a coma. As the whole scene happens woefully, he later realises his mistake for forcing his son. There director showed the inexplicable connection and imprinted love between a father and a son. The story line rotates on how he succeeds his son's passion and works hard to get him operated. Kartik wins his final tournament at the end.

Poota Pooti

The film title itself reveils that the movie is based on a competition. Being a 2001 sports- comedy film directed by Yuvaraj Dhayalan, it received good response from the audience. It is about two fellow men who love the same girl at a time. The villagers decide to have a cricket match inorder to wedlock the girl with the winner. This feels quite illogical as one cant decide on a cricket competition? What happens next is the story. 

Jeeva

This movie is about an aspiring young man who wishes to make an entry into Indian national cricket team and play for the country one day. He has been brought up playing cricket since his childhood days. Most father's want their kids to focus on studies rather than any other activities. Jeevas father is also the same who discourages him. But jeeva proves himself by being a success cricketer within a short span. However due to the hero's status another young champ is chosed over him and jeeva feels for it. The rest is the story of how people acknowledge his hardwork.
