Peenaz Tyagi is a prominent Indian journalist and news anchor, currently associated with News Nation TV. She has made a lasting impact in the field of journalism with her sharp presentation skills, insightful reporting, and years of experience. She currently anchors the widely watched news program "Cut 2 Cut", which airs every evening at 8 PM.

Born on December 23rd in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, Peenaz had a strong passion for journalism from a very young age. While still in school at Nava Hind Girls Sr. Secondary School, she began participating in programs on Doordarshan such as Akashvani and Yuva Vani. These early experiences solidified her desire to work in the media industry.

Her alma mater is Madhubala Institute of Communication and Electronic Media, New Delhi, followed by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. An MBA in Disaster Management further extends the diversity of her academic background.

Her career in journalism began in the early 2000s while she was still completing her education. In 2002, she was a freelance feature writer for Hindustan Live. In the next year, she joined Zee News as a correspondent. Following the growth of her experience and on-screen presence, she joined Aaj Tak in 2006, gaining fame for shows like Dilli Aaj Tak and Tez. After eight fruitful years at Aaj Tak, she took over the senior editor's berth at News Nation.

Over the period from 2019, she has covered major stories, including the Lok Sabha elections, and an interview with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In addition, she was invited to speak at TEDx IIM Kashipur in May 2019, where she delivered a talk titled “Life Beyond Conformities: How I Became a Woman Journalist?”

Despite being in the limelight, Peenaz maintains a relatively private personal life. She remains single and has managed to keep her family details out of the public eye. What is known is that she has two sisters: Aruba and Shubhrika Tyagi, both of whom are married.

Peenaz is an animal lover who supports several animal welfare NGOs. Her 12-year-old pet dog is named Junior. Outside journalism, she enjoys traveling, reading, and eating-in fact, she regularly shares her gastronomical escapades with her followers on Instagram.
