This superstar has been part of the industry for more than three decades & has been an A-lister throughout. But the numero uno spot has always eluded him. Just when he was touted to clinch the top spot his movies would start flopping. Sadly, this story has repeated itself again. When his rivals were going though a bad phase at the box office, his movies are doing far worse. As per a source, his next release which has a huge budget is releasing directly on OTT as the makers felt the audiences were suffering from an overdose of the superstar's movies. His audience is least interested in watching his movies at the theatres anymore & is glad to wait for its OTT release. The makers are not inclined to spend much on its promotions as they are not motivated now, after having sold the rights to a streaming platform. Our source further went to inform that a political party too has invested a sizeable sum in the movie as it deals with a subject close to the party's ideology & poll promises.

At a time when other stars have 1-2 movies lined up in two years, this top star has almost 9 releases lined up. The superstar who is on the wrong side of 50 probably wants to milk his stardom & make as much money as he can before his stardom fizzles out. Time will tell if it turns out to be a shrewd move. It's not like his rivals who choose projects carefully are doing way better. All of them are going through a rough patch.
