Bollywood Blind Item: Reason Why Female Superstar Quit A Project

We had earlier written about an actress getting replaced by a female superstar in a South Indian project helmed by a top filmmaker who has tasted success in both Bollywood & South movies. Last week, several entertainment outlets reported that the female superstar quit the project for another pan-India project. As per a source, the reason is not her remuneration as reported in the mainstream media. The real reason was the changes made in the script. The female superstar, who is the biggest female celeb of the country, was unhappy with the script revisions & made her displeasure clear to the makers. But the filmmaker refused to budge. The female superstar had no option but to seek an upward revision in her acting fees, which the makers rejected. She then used it as an excuse to quit the project.

A male superstar who had never had a 200cr+ hit asked the aforementioned filmmaker to edit some misogynistic scenes & dialogues from their movie. The male superstar was upset with the reaction their movie's trailer received from women. He assumed that the filmmaker would toe his line. Little did he know that the filmmaker was no pushover. He told the superstar in clear terms that nobody would dare edit his movies apart from him & no way would he edit any scene from the movie. The movie turned out to be a blockbuster & remains the superstar's biggest hit till date. The filmmaker then went on to make a blockbuster with another male superstar & catapulted him to becoming Bollywood's box office king.
