Two star wives - one among them is an A-list actress herself & the other was a semi-successful actress but gained appreciation for her writing skills, have been hosting a chat show on a streaming platform. Both are married to A-list superstars. Their wittiness & their habit of speaking their mind without a care for what others think made them ideal hosts. The makers probably thought that the two ladies would give them enough fodder through their controversial statements & would make for an easy sell. While it looked like a fail proof plan on paper, the outcome hasn't been as good as they hoped. As per a source, every episode has been followed by severe trolling on social media. This has been followed by a meltdown among the star wives, their husbands & their PR team. All attempts by their managers to douse the social media fire have failed. A celebrated filmmaker was offended by a question one of the star wives asked her & didn't mince words while answering the question. This has split the Bollywood camps into two. The filmmaker, too, has her set of well-wishers who are siding with her. To make matters worse, the audiences, too, aren't impressed with their hosting skills. While the show might end up getting good viewership because of the names involved, the show might not return for a second season.

The ladies have received a lot of backlash for justifying physical infidelity in relationships. Their effort to whitewash the philandering of their superstar husbands has fallen flat. One of the husbands has been consciously trying to portray himself as a family man, while the other seems to be least bothered with all the noise. The two husbands have known each other even before they both debuted in Bollywood. They have acted together in a few movies & share a warm bond. Both are known for be thoroughly professional, but share a weakness for women. While one is a chain smoker & loves to end his day with a few drinks, the other neither smokes nor drinks. Both are rarely seen in parties.
