This A-list superstar will be seen in a big budget mythological movie. The teaser is expected to drop soon. The makers & the superstar are eagerly awaiting the audience response to the teaser. As per sources, the makers & the superstar are anxious about the superstar being accepted in the role of the country's most worshipped deity. The superstar had earlier mentioned in his interviews that he had consumed meat which is forbidden in his religion. Many right wing accounts had trolled the makers for casting him in the role of the much revered deity, when he has openly claimed to have committed the sin of eating forbidden meat. He had earlier claimed to have quit non-veg food & alcohol while filming for the epic, but those claims were found to be false. If the movie clicks & is accepted by the audience, it may catapult him into a league of his own. Two of his contemporaries have largely narrowed the lead he had over them. One of them has probably surpassed him. The makers have claimed to be having sleepless over the astronomical budget of the movie.
It is unfair for the audience to expect only actors with squeaky clean images & zero bagagge to play Gods on screen. In today's age of social media & instant news, no star can keep a secret for too long. Paparazzi, social media forums, gossip platforms dissect every aspect of a celeb's life. Every dirty laundry of a celeb is discussed in real time. If we were to decide the casting for every mythological/ God based biopic, not a single actor would make the cut. If an actor with a flawless character can play a rapist or a murderer on screen, then why can't an actor with a flawed past play God on screen? The only thing that should matter is whether the actor is able to pull off the role of God on screen. Everything else is just noise. But then Indians are an emotional lot & can't be expected to make very practical choices.
