Bollywood Blind Item: Superstar Gets Egg On His Face At International Event

This A+ list superstar is a huge name in Bollywood. His movies rake in huge box office collections. While nobody is contesting his sheer talent & stardom, his PR team has never ceased to hype him as India's biggest box office draw & a global name. The truth is that while he is still a big star, he is far from being India's biggest box office draw anymore. The younger lot, especially from the South, has taken over the tag of being India's biggest superstars. The Western world barely knows him & has barely heard his name. But his PR team has convinced everyone in India that he is still Bollywood's biggest name & the most well-known Indian celebrity abroad. His lie was outed when the press present at a prestigious international event asked him who he was! He had to introduce himself to them as an actor from India! He was embarrassed on the global stage. The videos have been shared widely on social media. As per sources, he was furious with his manager & PR team. He gave them an earful. He was not happy with the attire he was asked to wear either.

He was a big star in the 90's, but was not the box office king like what newspapers & magazines wanted you to believe. While others were not media savvy, this media major aced the media game. He saw to it that all media houses addressed him as the King of Bollywood. Luckily for him, he was indeed the undisputed box office king at the start of the millennium. But then another top superstar dethroned him & dominated the box office for close to a decade. In the meantime, his movies just couldn't match up to the movies of the other superstar. After a sabbatical of 4 years, he made a huge comeback when two of his movies did exceedingly well & a third one was a moderate hit. He was accused of rigging the box office figures for all three movies. He next release is at least a year away, but his PR team still refers to him as the king of Bollywood. Delusional much?
