We had earlier written about a top filmmaker-studio boss facing issues in finalising the cast for his next directorial venture, which will be a sequel to his blockbuster family drama which released more than two decades back. He was not keen on casting his favorite actress after she distanced herself following the filmmaker's downfall. As per a source, the actress might end up being part of the project. She is anxious about the outcome of her upcoming action movie. She wants to bag her mentor's next project, which will get her a lot of publicity. The studio boss is still a big name in the industry. His last movie which starred his favorite actress underperformed at the box office vis-a-vis the expectation from the industry. There were rumors of coporate booking even. The filmmaker has finalized a younger star kid actress for one of the roles. He now wants to finalize the other heroine. He will have to choose between his favorite actress & another actress who was once part of his coterie. But he distanced himself from her sometime back, after her movies flopped. She hasn't had a clean hit since 4 years & badly needs a big project.
There are no permanent friends or enemies in Bollywood. The studio boss was disillusioned with his protege & was not keen on working with her after she came across as an opportunist. But not many actors are keen on working with him now & he has no option but to consider his favorite actress. The other actress, who wants to reclaim her stardom post pregnancy was replaced by a newbie in three projects! Meanwhile other cast members are yet to confirm their casting in the movie. Karma seems to be catching up with the studio boss who was notorious for his arrogance & unfair treatment of outsiders.
