Rocky Bhai's popularity is increasing daily, even a week after KGF: Chapter 2 was released. The film, which stars Yash and is directed by Prashanth Neel, is receiving an extraordinary response in multiple languages. Ujwal Kulkarni, the 20-year-old editor of the film, is from Gulbarga and had no grand ambitions when he came to Bengaluru. However, his skill and a stroke of luck allowed him to land the opportunity of a lifetime. As a fan of the KGF series, he created fan-made edits that impressed Prashanth Neel so much that he appointed him as the editor of KGF Chapter 2. Since then, he has never looked back.

Ujwal recalls that his initial experience with editing was for his brother Vinay, who was an aspiring actor. He started recording and editing videos for Vinay and soon became engrossed in the art of editing moving images. His friend Shashank encouraged him to pursue a career in Bengaluru, so Ujwal contacted some technicians and began working with Harish Komme, the editor of Mufti, for two months. During that time, he created fan-made edits for KGF: Chapter 1, which fortunately caught Prashanth's attention. He was invited for an interview and thus officially entered the world of Rocky Bhai.

According to Ujwal, his good fortune and love for the KGF series allowed him to kickstart his career with a massive project like KGF: Chapter 2. As the youngest member of the crew, he received ample support and attention. Ujwal beams as he recalls his disbelief at working with stars such as Yash and Prashanth Neel, who sat right in front of him.

The editor explains that the director, Prashanth, simplified the process for him. "Prashanth had a clear vision in his mind," he says. "All I had to do was comprehend his storytelling style and anticipate his needs. We had decided on the non-linear editing pattern while writing the script, so I just adhered to his plans."

Throughout the two years Ujwal spent working on the film, Prashanth served as a crucial source of support for him. Ujwal explains that Prashanth's presence was vital in keeping his energy and enthusiasm levels high, and he cannot adequately express how much it meant to him. Ujwal also reveals that he learned valuable lessons about both cinema and life from Prashanth during their time together. The most important of these lessons, Ujwal says, was that one must dedicate themselves to their work until it is completed.

During his free time, Ujwal enjoys listening to music and partying. He is also an avid fan of director Christopher Nolan and the Narcos franchise. Ujwal credits Prashanth Sir for introducing him to these interests, and he signs off by saying that Prashanth has had a significant impact on his life. Ujwal's next project will be editing another film for Prashanth Neel, which stars Prabhas and is titled Salaar.
