Know About The Bike Collection Of MS Dhoni

One look at former India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni's farmhouse reveals a museum-like collection of extensive bikes. Dhoni is just as fond of his bikes as he is of his family and the pack of dogs that make up his extended family. According to his wife Sakshi Dhoni, bikes are Dhoni's "favourite toy".

When the world was at a standstill due to the COVID-19 lockdown, Sakshi revealed in an Instagram Live session how MSD had self-assembled 8-9 old bikes from his arsenal. His obsession with bikes is so strong that even if he forgets to put a part back during assembly, he goes out of his way to open everything again to put that part back.

MS Dhoni Bike Collection - MS Dhoni Bike Collection List
From vintage bikes like Rajdhoo, Kawasaki Ninja, Harley Davidson to his recently acquired TVS Ronin Cruiser, the 42-year-old man has bikes spanning nearly a century.
The legend's obsession with bikes is a serious matter. While Dhoni pursues the latest makes and models with the latest technology and equipment, he also doesn't forget to maintain his oldest bike, which he owned during his childhood in Ranchi. He recently repaired an old Yamaha RD350, which is one of the oldest bikes he owns.

From TVS, Yamaha to a custom-built Confederate Hellcat X132, Suzuki, Ducati, Harley Davidson Fatboy, you name it, Dhoni may already own one. Let's take a look at a selection of some of the high-performance sports bikes and vintage bikes he has owned over the years. Kawasaki Ninja H2
Dhoni reportedly became the first owner of the Kawasaki Ninja H2 in April 2015. With an engine capacity of 998cc and a top speed of 258-400km/h, the price of this bike starts at INR 350,000.

Before buying the Ninja H2, Dhoni also owned the Ninja ZX14R, which was sold by Kawasaki as the fastest production bike in the world at the time.

Harley-Davidson Fatboy
One of the best quality high-performance bikes, the Harley-Davidson Fatboy edition, is also on display at the Dhoni Motorcycle Museum. The Fatboy is powered by an air-cooled 1868cc V-twin engine that produces up to 93.8 horsepower of power and 155 Nm of peak torque. While Dhoni’s Fatboy belongs to the older generation, the new edition of this cruiser bike is available in one variant and four colors with a starting price of around INR 240,000.

Norton Jubilee 250
Another vintage bike in Dhoni’s collection of bikes is the Norton Jubilee 250. Its 249cc, twin-cylinder engine produces 16 bhp of power and can reach a top speed of 120.7 km/h. The Chennai Super Kings captain has owned this bike since October 2014.

Norton Bikes has launched several new models over the years but has discontinued production of this particular model, which is priced at around INR 300,000. BSA Gold Star
The BSA Gold Star is an outstanding vintage bike and one of the first British motorcycles to reach a top speed of 100 mph (161 km/h). It is a modern retro bike with a dual instrument cluster. The liquid-cooled 652 cc single-cylinder engine produces 45.6 horsepower and 55 Nm of torque. It is not yet available in the Indian market, although it has an estimated price of around INR 300,000.

Yamaha RD350
As mentioned earlier, the Yamaha RD350 is one of Dhoni's most treasured possessions, and he recently modified it. It was one of the most powerful two-wheelers of its time, with a 347 cc, two-stroke, two-cylinder engine that produced a maximum power of 30.5 horsepower. Dhoni bought this vintage bike for INR 4,500 back then, though production of this model has been discontinued.

Ducati 1098
This Italian superbike has been in Dhoni's possession for over a decade. This racing bike is still the most powerful twin-cylinder production bike in the world and was priced at INR 200,000 back then.

This old bike is no longer available in the Indian market. Newer versions of this expensive superbike include the Ducati Panigale V4 S (starting at INR 330,000), Ducati Panigale V4 R, and Ducati Streetfighter V4 Lamborghini (starting at INR 720,000).

Confederate X132 Hellcat
Named after a World War II fighter plane and made from aircraft materials, the Confederate X132 Hellcat was priced at INR 4.7 million by MS Dhoni in 2015.

The bike is made from aircraft titanium and is very heavy at around 227 kg. The muscle bike's massive 2.2-liter V-twin produces 132 horsepower and 200 Nm of torque.

Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R
Various reports say that Dhoni bought his own Kawasaki bike about 10 years ago. The two-wheeler is powered by a 1,441cc four-cylinder engine and can reach a top speed of 300 km/h. Kawasaki has discontinued the production of the Ninja ZX-14R and this bike is no longer manufactured.

Yamaha Thundercat
The Yamaha YZF600R, popularly known as the Thundercat, is also one of the oldest bikes that Dhoni owns since the 2010s.

The bike was manufactured between 1996 and 2007 and was powered by a 599 cc engine that could produce around 100 horsepower at 11,500 rpm and 67.5 Nm of torque at 11,500 rpm.

TVS Apache RR 310
Four years ago, in 2019, the wicketkeeper and batsman bought a TVS Apache RR 310. Dhoni, who is the brand ambassador for TVS Star City+, owned this model of the bike just a week after its launch in India. It was reportedly priced at INR 2.27 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The bike is powered by a liquid-cooled 312.2 cc engine that produces 33.52 bhp and 27.3 Nm of torque. The company claims that this latest version further improves the bike's drivability, rideability and reliability.
