Know About The Divorces Among Indian Cricket Players

Cricketers too have their issues, trying to match international expectations of fame, fixture and calendar-clogged, and media glare. All these come to put strains on relationships and result in marital problems and even worse, divorces. Some examples are still fresh in my mind:

1. Mohammad Shami and Hasin Jahan

Indian cricketer Mohammad Shami's marriage to Hasin Jahan in 2018 was not smooth as she accused him of domestic violence and cheating. This led to a highly publicized court fight that became a huge media spectacle.

2. Nikita Vanjara and Dinesh Karthik

Wicket-keeper batsman Dinesh Karthik married childhood friend Nikita Vanjara in 2007. The marriage was, however, shattered in 2012 when Karthik caught Nikita with cricketer Murali Vijay. The breakup of the couples was a topic of debate among cricket fans.

3. Shikhar Dhawan and Aesha Mukerji

Hardik Pandya, the all-rounder, and Serbian model Natasa Stankovic married in a closed-door ceremony on May 31, 2020. But after months of marital strife gossip, the pair broke up on July 18, 2024, citing they would co-parent Agastya.
