World Cup 2023: Shreyas Iyer’s Ton Against Australia Brings Problems for Team Management.

Kl Rahul and Shreyas are in the squad of World Cup 2023

India’s middle-order batsman, Shreyas Iyer, bagged a stunning century against Australia in the second math of the series and helped India win the series. His firey ton has created a lot of problems for the team management.

In ODI cricket, Shreyas Iyer usually plays at number four for the team. In the Asia Cup 2023, KL Rahul batted in the number four position, coming off an injury. He played a brilliant hand at the position for the team, bagging a stunning ton against Pakistan, followed by some more impressive knocks in the tournament.

The absence of Shreyas Iyer because of his injury helped Kl Rahul bat at the position. There were a lot of questions about Shreyas Iyer and his batting position. He made a comeback for the side in an ODI series against Australia in India just before the 2023 World Cup.

He played at number three for India in the absence of Virat Kohli; in the first, he could not do much. In the second match, he notched a brilliant century with a high strike rate.

Shreyas Iyer’s ton is a problem for the team.

His century in the second match proved his worth to the team and his capability, but it also left team management in a big question. He generally bats at number four, but Kl Rahul has also been doing great things in that place since the Asia Cup 2023. If Virat Kohli comes in, then Shreyas Iyer is more likely to push at number four again. It is a serious problem for skipper Rohit Sharma to pick one between Kl Rahul, who performed well at number four, and Shreyas Iyer.

Both the batters are in the Indian squad for the World Cup 2023 and have a major role to play in the middle order.

India have to make a tough call, but according to some cricket experts and former players, wicketkeeper Kepper kl Rahul is more likely to be pushed at number five because he is a better batter than the other right-hander at number five, and he has better batter records than anybody else in the Indian batting array.
