Aishwarya Rai Bachchan Makes A Regal Appearance In The Teaser For Ponniyin Selvan 2 As The Producers Reveal The Film's Release Date

The significant update for Ponniyin Selvan 2 has been announced, as promised by the creators. The forthcoming sequel's release date was announced by Lyca Productions along with a teaser.
The movie PS-2 will hit theatres on April 28, 2023. Chiyaan Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, and Trisha all play significant parts in the film.
Aditya Karikalan (Vikram), Arulmozhi Varman (Jayam Ravi), Vandhiyathevan (Karthi), and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan are all shown in the PS-2 teaser. While Arulmozhi is seen strolling among numerous monks, Karikalan is seen seated in front of a Kali statue. Vandhiyathevan is spotted sitting in the middle of the forest with wounds. When Aishwarya's character looks in the mirror while wielding a sword, she assumes a royal appearance. The video's tagline was "The Cholas are back."
"Let's get those swords in the air while we await the 28th of April 2023," the teaser's creators said as the caption.
If you haven't seen Ponniyin Selvan 1, it ended on a cliffhanger with Arulmozhi Varman and Vandhiyathevan drowning in the sea following their battle with the Pandiyas. Moviegoers were excited when they caught a glimpse of Mandakini Devi, also known as Oomai Rani, in the final frame of the first portion. Aishwarya Rai portrays it.
The follow-up will demonstrate how Arulmozhi and Vandhiyathevan are saved and disclose Nandini’s (Aishwarya Rai Bachchan) true lineage.
Based on the 1955 book of the same name by Kalki Krishnamurthy, Ponniyin Selvan is a historical play. Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions are the companies that create it. AR Rahman provides the music. The masterpiece, which was directed by Mani Ratnam, also stars Prakash Raj, Vikram Prabhu, Sobhita Dhulipala, Aishwarya Lekshmi, and many others in supporting roles.
