Actor Ayushmann Khurrana has made hints that he would appear in the horror comedy universe created by director Dinesh Vijan in the flick Vampire.

There are rumors that the franchise, which was launched by Amar Kaushik's Stree (2018), will grow with Vampire, starring Samantha Ruth Prabhu from Ayushmann and Yashoda.

When asked about the status of Vampire, Ayushmann responded that the producers would soon release an official statement.

The objective of Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik is to establish a horrifying universe. The Indian audience will find it to be entirely fascinating and delightful. We will make an official statement rapidly, so let's wait and see when it happens, the 38-year-old actor said to PTI in an interview.

With the 2018 blockbuster film Stree, which starred Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor in the major roles, the renowned producer launched his horror comedy franchise. After Stree's enormous success, the producer made a second appearance with the sequel, Roohi, marking his second collaboration with Rajkummar. However, the film, which starred Janhvi Kapoor in the lead role, only made an average amount of money. The third episode, Bhediya, which stars Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon in key roles, will soon be released. On the other hand, there will soon be a sequel to Stree.

On the 2019 box office spectacle Bala, the National Award winner formerly worked with Vijan and Kaushik. According to rumors, Vampire would be based on a Rajasthani folktale. Samantha will characterize a princess, while Ayushmann will depict a vampire.

The multi-talented actor also discussed the follow-up to his 2019 film Dream Girl during his conversation. According to the actor, the second edition will be a fun film with a strong social message. He clarified the situation by saying, "There will be a component of the first one, but it is a whole different plot. Correlated to the earlier picture, this one is more marketable. It is securely attached.

The amusement is what I want to focus on more than just the messaging or social commentary, he continued. The level of amusement must be great. That's what I've discovered during the past two years (of COVID-19).

Ayushmann Khurrana will be featured in the movie An Action Hero, which will be released in theatres on December 2, 2022, in the meantime. The film, which also features Jaideep Ahlawat in the major role and is directed by Anirudh Iyer, also features Ayushmann.
