The South celebrity Suriya who played Rolex's role in Vikram admitted that he nearly declined the invitation to make a cameo appearance in Vikram, but ultimately decided to accept because of Kamal Haasan. He wasn't initially eager to play Rolex, but he wouldn't pass up the chance Kamal Haasan presented. He attributes his current success to the megastar. In the Kamal Haasan film Vikram, Surya made a brief appearance. One of the movie's highlights and warmly praised by viewers was his character Rolex. There were rumors that he could make a movie centered solely on his role as the crime lord Rolex in Vikram.

Suriya, a national award-winning actor, has garnered a lot of praise and admiration from the public for his antagonistic performance in Kamal Haasan's super-successful movie "Vikram." In the movie, the "Soorara Potter" star appeared as Rolex. But did you know that the actor declined the role when it was offered to him and that he wasn't very interested in doing the cameo?

During his victory speech for Best Actor at the Filmfare Awards 2022, Suriya revealed the huge bombshell. The enthusiastic audience began yelling the name of his character, Rolex, as he entered the stage. In response, the evening's host inquired about his potential return as Rolex.

Suriya further claimed that Kamal Haasan was the only one for whom he agreed to play the villain, referring to Haasan as his inspiration. The movie, which was directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, also included key performances by Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil.

In addition, Haasan's homecoming movie surpassed 400 crores at the box office and became the highest-grossing Tamil movie of the year. The top Tamil film of the year had its theatrical release on June 3, 2022. 

The movie is a worthy successor of the same-named movie from 1986.  The theme tune from the 1986 movie is also included in the movie in remixed form. Filming for the main production took place throughout Tamil Nadu, including Karaikudi, Chennai, Pondicherry, and Coimbatore, from July 2021 to February 2022. 

Talking about Surya's upcoming project he will be seen next in the "Suriya 42" movie directed by Siva whose production commenced last month. The motion poster of the film is also released by the makers in which we can see that Bollywood Actress Disha Patani is all set to make her Tamil debut.
