Latest Updates from the sets of Shahrukh Khan's Dunki

SHAH RUKH KHAN has begun working on his Social Comedy film 'DUNKI', directed by RAJKUMAR HIRANI, and VICKY KAUSHAL has joined the sets last week for an extended cameo role as SRK's BEST FRIEND in this film, while TAAPSEE will join the sets of DUNKI around next week. SUNIL GROVER has also been cast in this film along with BOMAN IRANI, making SUNIL's Second Collaboration with SRK after ATLEE's film. Apart from them, verteran actor DHARAMENDRA is also in talks to be brought on board to play SRK's FATHER in this film

SRK will play a PUNJABI GUY who belongs to a VILLAGE in LUDHIANA and is looking to move to CANADA anyhow for a better life due to certain circumstances which will be revealed in the film. The set of the village is being constructed in the FILM CITY which is similar to QILLA RAIPUR, a village in LUDHIANA, where majority of the youth migrates to Foreign countries in search of JOB, which also serves as BACKDROP for DUNKI along with inspiration behind HIRANI's attempt to make a film on IMMIGRATION through DONKEY FLIGHT.

The shoot in MUMBAI and LUDHIANA will be wrapped by EARLY JUNE, followed by a 45 DAYS shoot schedule in LONDON. Other than this, the film will also be shot in DUBAI, AMSTERDAM and in UZBEKISTAN before concluding the shoot in VANCOUVER by end of this year. The RAJKUMAR HIRANI directorial, co-written by KANIKA DHILLON and ABHIJAT JOSHI, will release on 22nd DECEMBER, 2023.
