The pair reportedly told their loved ones when they were in London in October that they were expecting their first child, according to Pinkvilla. Arjun Kapoor is upset by the news that he received. He attacked the news site and reporter on social media. Arjun Kapoor stated that this was improper and that no one should dare to publish such slander about another person's private life. Arjun Kapoor and Malaika Arora have been dating for more than five years. The couple has become more transparent on social media over time.

The news has swept across the media like wildfire. Rumors that the two had broken up surfaced a few months ago. Even that report was later shown to be false. 

"This is the lowest you could just have gone and you have accomplished it by being careless, insensitive, and completely unethical in carrying garbage news," Malaika Arora, calling out the website and the journalist, said in a sharply worded message. In a letter to the author of the aforementioned article, Arjun wrote: "This journalist has been penning similar stories regularly and getting away with it since we tend to disregard them when false rumors circulate in the media and come to pass. This is improper. Do not dare to interfere in our private lives."
