These Indian Special Forces are among the Best in the World

India is surrounded by the strongest neighbours in the world. It is very difficult to safeguard a country in a situation like these. India is the 7th largest country in the world. Undoubtedly, our special forces are also very strong and have never learnt to give up. No matter, how many times we are knocked down, but we always get up again. No task is seemed to be tough for Indians as we have the best armed forces with us. They are the best example for team work and dedication.

Some of the special forces who are among the best in the world are:

1. Para Commandos.

The force was formed in 1966 and is a part of the highly trained Parachute Regiment of the Indian Army. They are the largest part of the Special Forces of India. Their main aim is quick deployment of soldiers behind enemy lines to attack the enemy from behind and destroy their first line of defence. The Para Commandos played an important role in the 1999 Kargil War and helped us to occupy our land back from Pakistani Army.

2. Ghatak Force.

The meaning of Ghatak is killer in Hindi. They are true to their name as their work is to kill and spearheads strikes ahead of battalion. There is only one platoon for the infantry battalion in the Indian Army. The most motivated and physically fit soldiers are selected for this platoon. They are very well trained and equipped to handle any attack or situations.

3. COBRA.

The full form of COBRA is Commando Battalion for Resolute Action. They are the specialised unit of CRPF. They are one of the most well trained special forces in Indian Army and also exclusively trained for guerrilla warfare. They were formed in 2008 and has wiped out many Naxalite groups from India.

4. MARCOS.

Marine Commandos- MARCOS is a special Indian force unit that was formed in Indian Navy in the year 1987. The MARCOS training is one the most difficult training in the world as their physical and mental strength both are tested. They were formed for direct action, special reconnaissance and counter terrorism.

5. Special Frontier Force.

This special force was formed after the Sino-Indian war in the year 1962. This was formed for covert operations behind Chinese lines. They operate under India’s external intelligence agency RAW and reports directly to Prime Minister.
