Khakee

On November 25, 2022, Netflix finally offered the eagerly awaited Khakee: The Bihar Chapter and fans have been buzzing ever since. If viewers wish to watch a traditional Police-Gangster rivalry, Khakee: The Bihar Chapter may rank among the Top 10 online series of this week.

Neeraj Pandey, a seasoned director, has once again raised the bar and demonstrated, as with his earlier Special Op series, that a web series needs a good concept and content rather than a large star cast. Speaking of the cast, Khakee: The Bihar Chapter stars Vinay Pathak, Nikita Dutta, Avinash Tiwary, Abhimanyu Singh, Ravi Kishan, Anup Soni, Karan Tacker, Ashutosh Rana, and Shraddha Das in significant parts.

The Bihar Chapter, a book by IPS officer Amit Lodh(now IG), is based on a true story. With the release of Khakee: The Bihar Chapter, fans are eager to learn more about Chandan Mahto, who terrified Bihar to such a degree.

For those who haven't seen it yet, Chandan Mahto is Khakee: The Bihar Chapter's main adversary. Avinash Tiwary, an actor, plays the role of Chandan Mahto. Khakee: The Bihar Chapter is a genuine account of the capture of Bihar's most deadly gangster. Karan Tacker's supercop Amit Lodha engages in a titanic brawl with the legendary Chandan Mahto.

Another question now arises: if Karan Tacker is portraying IPS Amit Lodh in the seven-part web series, then who is Chandan Mahto in real life?

The officer confessed in a prior interview with a news portal that he changed the names of the criminal and his collaborators in the nonfiction book, published by Penguin India, as it was said above that Khakee: The Bihar Chapter is based on a book authored by IPS Amit Lodh.

"He is indeed quite dangerous and has made two attempts to harm my family. I reasoned that I should avoid the name in the book if not for my safety then at least for that of my family. I ran a risk when I wrote this book. Currently, one of his accomplices is also free on bail." he claimed.

However, Chandan Mahto's persona appears to have been modeled on the real-life mobster Pintu Mahto based on the plot and order of the book and the web series. If you don't know, Pinto Mahto was a notorious gang member of the infamous Ashok Mahto gang. He participated in several murders, including the gruesome killing of Rajo Singh, a former seasoned Congressman. Pintu was sought after in up to 30 murder and kidnapping cases, including the 2002 jailbreak in Nawada during which he and his accomplices escaped after killing two policemen.
