Since she and her husband, Vicky Jain, entered the seventeenth season of Bigg Boss, Ankita Lokhande has been in the news. Ankita was irritated by Vicky's strategy, even though they joined the game as a jodi. Shortly after the grand premiere of the reality show, the couple began to argue violently. Ankita Lokhande spoke candidly about her difficult split with Sushant Singh Rajput in the most recent Bigg Boss 17 episode. She disclosed that her parents were equally broken as well. During a conversation with Munawar Faruqui in the episode, Ankita Lokhande disclosed that she had been seeing Sushant for a number of years. But Sushant ended things the same night. She said, "Uska jaana ek alag cheez thi. Main tut gyi, mere maa baap tut gye.."
Munawar looked into Ankita's trolling practises more after Sushant passed away in 2020. Ankita disclosed that she got involved in the case because she wanted everyone to know who the real Sushant was. Ankita went on to reveal the actual cause of the split and said it occurred over night without her knowledge. There was no reason, she continued. Speaking on the same, Ankita said, "Main kahi involved nahi thi, fir bhi main khadi hui because main chahti ki log jaane vo kaun tha. Log tab kaha the, jab mera breakup chal raha tha. Main vo phase akele gujazara... There was no reason for breakup. I was blank.. Ek raat mein cheeze change hui meri life mein."
Ankita refuted that there had been any fight or clash, saying that it had happened all of a sudden and that Sushant's success was the main cause, implying that someone must have spoken about her. This was reported when Munawar inquired more about whether they had a fight or clash. She then said,"Kya hota hai jab aap uper chadd rahe hote ho apne career mein.. Apko dus log or kaan bhadte hai.. Jo bhi ho raha hoga mujhe nahi pata... But theek hai uska apna ek matter tha.. Mai ne kabhi ruka bhi nahi usko.."
After confirming their marriage in 2016, the late Sushant Singh Rajput and Ankita Lokhande quickly called it quits. Sushant and Ankita fell in love while collaborating on their programme, Pavitra Rishta. After several years of dating, Sushant declared on a dancing reality show in 2016 that he would marry
Ankita. However, they split up shortly after, with Sushant tweeting his breakup. Ankita experienced depression, and she needed a great deal of bravery to get her life back on track.
