Blind Item(Mumbai Mirror) – Called Out Soon – 11th Jan

Mumbai Mirror has published a blind item about a beloved filmmaker who might be called out in the #MeToo movement soon.

He is one of our favorite filmmakers. His movies been blockbuster hits. All his movies revolve around a novel concept & are immensely loved by the audiences, critics alike. He is now the biggest director of the country. It will be sad to see this filmmaker bite the dust. Bollywood would suffer a huge loss in terms of quality content. We hope our guess is wrong.
But most likely this news is likely to get buried. After all the director has millions riding on him. The producer mentioned in the blind item never gave a hit himself, but made millions producing movies directed by his protege. The filmmaker’s son too has shown some inclination towards filmmaking. His short film went viral.
The director was relatively low key & came across as a family man. He did court controversy from right wing groups for showing a man dressed as a god running on the streets & for “white washing” a star’s image in his biopic. He later admitted that the biopic was a image cleansing exercise. HERE’S a #MeToo update. It seems one of our beloved filmmakers will be called out soon. The director, who had a major movie out last year, has been accused of sexual harassment by one of his juniors. The lady in question has sent emails to the film’s producer, who is yet to deal with the situation officially. Meanwhile, the producer has removed the accused director’s name from new posters of his next film (the director was credited as co-producer in the film’s original posters). Will the facts come to light and rock the industry, or will the heavyweights ensure they get buried? Let’s wait and watch.
