A Fresh Take on the White Coat World
Unlike many others, “Doctors” dares to tell a compelling story about the people who use their stethoscopes. The drama premiered on JioCinema on 27 December 2024, and although it features lives being saved in the hospital, it is mostly about drama, revenge, hard choices, and conflict.
Strong Performances Anchored in Realism
Under the direction of Sahir Raza and with Siddharth P. Malhotra as creator, the series features Sharad Kelkar as Dr. Ishaan Ahuja, a neurosurgeon with much experience, and Harleen Sethi as Dr. Nitya Vasu, a new resident who enters the hospital because of a grudge. What draws the most emotion is Nitya’s determination to understand and correct the mistake that ruined her brother’s life, who is Dr. Dhaval Vasu (starring Aamir Ali).
The roles played by Viraf Patel, Vivaan Shah, Sarah Hashmi, and Niharika Lyra Dutt give the film a true-to-life feeling by telling the stories of young medics fighting through various struggles and controversies. Both the interesting personalities and good acting in the show ensure it is understandable and worth watching.
Not Just Scalpel and Scrubs
Thanks to Soutrik Chakraborty’s music and Vivian Singh Sahi’s work behind the camera, the entire series looks great and moves the audience emotionally. Thanks to Satya Sharma’s editing, the shows (with each episode taking 31–48 minutes) are very engaging and enjoyable when watched in succession.
Doctors don’t focus mainly on medical procedures, but instead offer insight into people’s lives. It explores the many sides of sadness, resentment, and the choice to change, plus the weight of worries that patients don’t see in their cool-headed doctors.
Final Verdict: More Than Just a Drama
Doctors have mostly received positive reviews, as it was given 3.5 stars by Rediff.com and The Indian Express. The Hindustan Times declared it to be palatable and addictive to watch, which is exactly right. It presents medicine as exciting, as both lives and truths are at the center.
