The highly anticipated second season of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Heeramandi has finally been revealed by the producers to please viewers. Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, made its OTT debut last month. Every character on the show won over the audience, and it became an enormous success. Fans were curious to see if the sitcom will get another season when it first came out. The makers have now officially announced Heeramandi: Season 2 with a special announcement video, stunning fans with the exciting news.

 

Heeramandi Season 2 by Sanjay Leela Bhansali has been revealed. A while back on June 3, Bhansali Productions and Netflix India collaborated on a post. The post resembled an announcement video more than anything else, contrasting beloved series songs with multiple memorable lines. A sizable group of girls can be seen in the video performing a mashup of the series' songs near Carter Road in Mumbai. Fans could be seen yelling with excitement as the dancers revealed the thrilling news about Heeramandi's Season 2 as they were decked out in shimmering Anarkalis and ghungroos, which perfectly captured the essence of the show.

The narration, which was also included in the final episode of the series, appears near the end of the video. It makes reference to, “15 Aug 1947, ko aazaadi ki jung khatam ho gayi, inn tawaifon ki ek nayi jung shuru hui, ek nayi duniya mein sarr utha ke jeene ki jung (The battle of independence ended on August 15, 1947. Another battle of these courtesans started, which was of living proudly in the new world).”

 

Fans of the show were left wanting more after seeing the first season. It is now evident that the story will centre on the post-independence era in the upcoming season. There's no denying that the audience is excited.
