Current Status: Post-Production

Opportunity to learn about Sitaare Zameen Par I and II from Mr Aamir Khan while delivering his speech at the Red Sea Film Festival in Jeddah. While Taare Zameen Par brought into focus the plight of a dyslexic child, the film coming next offers a new story, new characters, and new vision but is still connected thematically. Khan described how the movie also keeps advancing the extension of value, being able to come to terms with the child, and the multiple intelligences idea popularized way back in 2007.

 

The earlier picture primarily discussed the resiliency of a child who has dyslexia and the issues related to written and reading types of intelligence. This time, we have extended the theme focusing on how every individual is magical because of his or her peculiarities,” Aamir added.

A Fresh Take on a Beloved Theme

Directed by Aamir Khan, the movie is currently in the post-production stage, and only a couple of pick-up shots still have to be shot. Aamir said, “We will be going into post-production later this month, while the film will be out by mid-next year.” This simple delay has only increased the anticipation level among cinema lovers since Aamir always produces sensible movies.

Exciting Projects in the Pipeline

Amidst Sitaare Zameen Par, which is too widely promoted, Aamir also shared information on other shows that he produced. Some of the movies by the actor are Lahore 1947 alongside Sunny Deol and Directed By Rajkumar Santoshi and Ek Din with his son Junaid Khan and Sai Pallavi. Also in the production pipeline is an out-and-out comedy film with Vir Das, which is being produced by Aamir Khan’s production house.

The Verdict

Although the fans might be sad because the show is coming late, Sitaare Zameen Par will, indeed, deliver the feelings, which are engrossing and thoughtful, along with the excitement. Considering the type of cinema Aamir always brings, the film is slated to twinkle much brighter in 2025.
