Jyothika & Suriya's Love Story

We all hve watched and enjoyed Jyotikha and Suriya on screen in South Indian movies. Right? But did you know, they have a real life fairy tale love story? They are married for forteen years and make us believe that true love exists. 

Suriya and Jyotikha met in 1999. Both of them were struggling and trying to make their names in the industry at that time. Jyotikha didn't know the language well but she tried really hard. Her hardwork and dedication for work impressed Suriya. Jyotikha soon became a big star. It was in 2001, when she saw Suriya passing by her set where she was shooting and she sent her assistant to call him and this was their second meeting. Suriya then started inviting her to his parties and introduced her to his friends. 

It was during the film, Kaakha Kaakha when the two fell in love. After the release, they got egaged. They had a low key engagement. Suriya had a hard time conviencing his family for his love. Later their love kept growing. The couple ot married in 2006. Jyotikha quit acting after marriage. They have two children, a girl and a boy. Suriya is a great father cum friend to his children.
