He revealed that he faced constant discouragement and was repeatedly told that he could not be an actor, advised to stop wasting his time. Everywhere he went, he encountered remarks about not having the typical appearance of an actor, feeling like he was just going from one office to another.

However, Nawazuddin Siddiqui persevered for almost a decade until he found directors who were making realistic movies. These films may not have achieved immediate success in India but received appreciation at various film festivals. This recognition made commercial filmmakers consider Nawazuddin and other actors like him as authentic, leading to their casting in films. Finally, he gained acceptance in the industry.

Recalling another incident, Nawazuddin mentioned being rejected by a television show team. He was informed that his unconventional looks would require additional time and effort to adjust the lighting for him. The team concluded that casting him would result in a loss of 1.5 days and advised him to pursue something else instead.

After completing his graduation, he decided to explore this path and spent around 15-20 days in a dharamshala, attempting to embrace the life of a monk. However, despite making multiple attempts, he was unable to fully commit to this lifestyle.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui then revealed that his path took a different turn when he became careless, and someone introduced him to the world of theatre. This introduction marked the beginning of his theatre journey while he was working in Baroda. Subsequently, he pursued his passion and enrolled at the National School of Drama in Delhi. Reflecting on his journey, he acknowledged that if he hadn't entered the theatre field, he might have eventually become a monk.
