Overview
Phir Hera Pheri is an Indian comedy film and a sequel to the 2000 classic Bollywood movie Hera Pheri, directed by Neeraj Vora. The film features Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, and Suniel Shetty reprising their roles from the original, with Bipasha Basu and Rimi Sen joining as the leading actresses. It was released on June 9, 2006. The storyline drew inspiration from Guy Ritchie's Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and includes a sequence inspired by Charlie Chaplin's The Circus. Phir Hera Pheri was among the highest-grossing Bollywood films of 2006 and became the first commercially successful sequel in Bollywood, sparking a trend of sequels in the industry.
