Tamannaah Bhatia And Sanjay Dutt Find Themselves Surrounded By Maharashtra Cyber Cell For This Reason!!!
The Maharashtra Cyber Cell has summoned Bollywood actors Tamannaah Bhatia and Sanjay Dutt to interview them about their suspected participation in the 2023 case involving the unlawful streaming of IPL matches.
Tamannaah was reportedly called by the Maharashtra Cyber Cell to be questioned for the match's illicit broadcast on the Fairplay App, which cost Viacom crores of Rupees.
The notification said, "She has been asked to appear before Maharashtra Cyber Cell on April 29."
In addition, on April 23, actor Sanjay Dutt was also called in relation to this, but he did not show up. "He had, instead, sought a date and time for recording his statement and said that he was not in India on the date," the statement stated.
According to reports, Tamannaah's name has come up in relation to the app, and the police are reportedly attempting to find out more about her involvement.
The network filed a complaint in September 2023, claiming that the app was infringing on their Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), which prompted an inquiry into the unlawful streaming issue. The app was allegedly streaming the matches "illegally" even though the network had acquired exclusive rights to stream them, resulting in losses purportedly reaching Rs 100 crore.
A division of the Mahadev online gambling platform, the FairPlay app makes it easier to gamble illegally on live games including football card games, poker, badminton, tennis, cricket, and chance-based activities. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) last year questioned Ranbir and Shraddha Kapoor, who had promoted the app, bringing attention to the Mahadev betting app.
Following a purported all-cash ₹ 200-crore opulent wedding in the United Arab Emirates, the app became well-known. Mahadev Online, run by Bhilai, Chhattisgarh natives Saurabh Chandrakar and Ravi Uppal from Dubai, drew in new clients by establishing new websites, establishing closed chat groups, and running sponsored social media ads that encouraged users to get in touch in order to make money.
For more over a year, the ED has been looking into possible connections between money laundering and the Mahadev app. They claim that senior Chhattisgarhi politicians and officials are involved. The ED estimates that the crime in this case brought in almost ₹ 6,000 crore in revenues.
Tamanna's next role is in the May 3 release of the Tamil comedy-horror picture Aranmanai 4, which also features Sundar C and Raashii Khanna.
