Synopsis:
In September 1971, a daring group of criminals tunneled their way into a bank on Baker Street in London, stealing over three million pounds worth of cash and valuables from safety deposit boxes. The heist quickly made headlines, but the story mysteriously vanished after a few days due to a 'D' Notice, which barred the media from reporting on it. This film uncovers the hidden truths behind the robbery, revealing a web of murder, corruption, and a scandal tied to the British Royal Family—where, ironically, the thieves may have been the most innocent involved.
Critics' Reviews:
-
Jim Emerson, rogerebert.com: "A typical B-grade British heist film, 'The Bank Job' is neither better nor worse than its generic title (...) Rating: ★★½ (out of 4)."

- Leslie Felperin, Variety: "An engaging, though not exceptional, period thriller."
- James Berardinelli, ReelViews: "Smart, well-paced, and thrilling entertainment aimed at an adult audience."
