This Is Why Babil Khan Never Being Spotted At Bollywood Parties!!
Babil Khan, son of the late actor Irrfan Khan, recently reminisced about a cherished memory from his childhood, involving a memorable encounter with Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan on the sets of the film "Billu Barber." Sharing his candid recollection, Babil revealed the heartwarming moment when he enthusiastically greeted Shah Rukh Khan and why he isn't often seen at glamorous Bollywood parties like other star kids.
In an interview with MensXP, Babil fondly recounted Shah Rukh Khan's grand entrance on the sets of "Billu Barber," noting the actor's arrival in a Bentley, with a trail of admirers from nearby villages following his car. Reflecting on the moment, Babil described how, in his excitement, he impulsively jumped on Shah Rukh Khan and clung to his leg, unable to contain his admiration for the superstar.
Recalling the incident with affection, Babil shared, "Me and baba (Irrfan) were in Billu’s hut and I don’t know what happened to me and I did not think anything. I never felt ‘this man is Shah Rukh Khan.’ I jumped on his leg, I was small at that time. Main chippak gaya unse. He did not say anything, he just softly patted on my head and started walking with me and I was still hugging his leg."
Addressing his absence from high-profile Bollywood gatherings, Babil candidly acknowledged that he isn't a conventional "star kid" like many others in the industry. He emphasized that his father, Irrfan Khan, despite his immense talent, wasn't a contemporary star in the conventional sense, and therefore, he doesn't fit the typical mold of a star kid. Babil attributed his reserved nature and social anxiety as factors contributing to his preference for solitude over attending social events.
Elaborating on his personal preferences, Babil expressed, "I go to parties sometimes. I have social anxiety and that is not the only reason. I like to stay alone. I like to work on who I am."
Despite his inclination towards solitude, Babil Khan continues to make strides in the entertainment industry. Having appeared in the series "The Railway Men," he is set to feature in Shoojit Sircar's upcoming directorial venture, "The Umesh Chronicles," marking his further foray into acting.
Babil Khan's heartfelt encounter with Shah Rukh Khan and his candid reflections on navigating the world of Bollywood as a non-traditional star kid serve as a testament to his authenticity and individuality in an industry often characterized by glamour and prestige.
