1. Sakuntalai

2. Karnan

The story of the Mahabharata's central hero, who rises from nothing to become the world's greatest warrior ever born in history and emerges as the Kurukshetra war hero. The film is partly about Karna and Duryodhana's iconic friendship.

3. Uyarndha Manithan

The film was produced by AVM Productions and directed by Krishnan-Panju. Sivaji Ganesan, Sowcar Janaki, Ashokan, Major Sundarrajan, Vanisri, and Sivakumar star in it. MS Viswanathan composed the soundtrack and background score, and Vaali wrote the song lyrics. Sivaji Ganesan's 125th film as an actor was Uyarndha Manithan, a remake of Uttar Purush.

4. Mayangukiral Oru Maadhu

Another Tamil movie about female friendship and love. It was directed by SP Muthuraman and produced by S Baskar. R Muthuraman, Sujatha, Thengai Srinivasan, and Vijayakumar play the lead roles in the film.

5. Satya

Suresh Krishna directed the 1988 film, Satya. Many actors appeared in the film, including Kamal Haasan, Amala, Rajesh, and Kitty. The film depicts how political parties exploit young people during times of high unemployment. Rajesh and Kitty each played a different antagonist. Janakaraj acted as a go-between for them. In this film, Anand and Sundar played Kamal's friends. The film was well-received when it was released.

6. Panchathanthiram

This is an absolute portrayal of the ultimate friends’ gang, with Kamal playing the lead role and his four friends helping him wade through his life's obstacles with belly-aching laugh moments.

7. Kuselan

P Vasu directed the 2008 film Kuchelan. Many actors appeared in the film, including Rajinikanth, Pashupati, Meena, Vadivelu, and Nayanthara. Pashupati is hesitant to meet her childhood friend Rajinikanth, today's superstar. Rajini then tells us about her friend at the end. Eventually, the two come together. The film is also a remake in Malayalam.
