Untold Facts About Ranbir Kapoor & Katrina Kaif's Love Story

Rajkumar Santoshi's Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahaani (2009) is one of the most adorable love stories ever presented in the Bollywood industry and the credit for making it a romantic Romeo Juliet love story goes to the actors Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif. The first time the two were seen together on-screen, we eagerly hoped for them to establish a romantic relationship in real life and the cupid listened to our wishes, quickly shooting an arrow of love at them.

There is no doubt that Ranbir and Katrina formed one of the hottest couples of the B-town. The pair had such a strong connection that they even discussed marriage. However, problems started arising and they had to separate. They were together for more than 6 years before finally splitting in 2015.

The two first encountered each other at Katrina Kaif's birthday celebration, where Ranbir came along with his partner Deepika Padukone. Rajkumar Santoshi hosted the get-together of the two, where they were welcomed to sign their movie Ajab Prem ki Gazab Kahani. The adorable on-screen relationship between them created a strong bond of friendship.

The connection between the couple came to a close and they merely remained friends, since Katrina was seeing Salman Khan and Ranbir was still with Deepika at that point. After the unveiling of the movie, the relationship between the two began to bloom. The chemistry between Ranbir and Deepika was so highly praised that it caused a rift between them and caused them to part ways.

After the success of Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahaani, Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif worked together in Raajneeti (2010). However, they never officially confirmed any relationship between them. However, the rumors became more widespread when they were seen on a vacation in Ibiza, Spain in July 2013. By 2014, the couple had grown very sure about their relationship after appearing together at some social events. This assurance led them to openly declare their relationship.

In 2016, it was reported that Kat and Ranbir were planning on getting married shortly. In an interview with a major newspaper, Ranbir said, "Due to my job, I'm under a lot of pressure this year. I don't think I'll be able to make the time, so I'm thinking of tying the knot sometime in the later part of next year. That is the current plan for myself and her." 

This remark made by the actor caused the couple to split. Afterward, they were seen together in the movie Jagga Jasoos, however, reports suggest that they did not have a good relationship while they were filming.

When Ranbir and Katrina first began their relationship, she expressed her concern to Rishi Kapoor about his son's promiscuity, but Rishi Kapoor simply dismissed the issue by indicating that he had been a womanizer in his younger days.
