Mammootty Commences 2023 With Shooting For Roby Vargheese Raj's Crime Thriller, Exciting Details Inside!

According to sources, the film is a crime thriller, and Mammootty joined the cast on January 1 on the film's sets in Pala, Kottayam district. His arrival was celebrated by the cutting of a cake and New Year's celebrations.

The storyline for the film, which stars Mammootty, was penned by Mohammed Shafi and co-written by the director's brother, Rony David Raj. Mohammed Rahil behind the camera and  Sushin Shyam, Malayalam cinema's prominent music director, is creating the soundtrack . The editing table is presided over by Praveen Prabhakar.

The film will be shot in Kerala, Mumbai, and New Delhi, and will be produced by Mammootty’s production house, Mammootty Kampany.

Roby Vargheese Raj, who worked as a cinematographer in earlier Mammooty movies 'Puthiya Niyamam' and 'Great Father,' is making his directorial debut.

Superstar Mammootty had a decent run in 2022, with his film 'Bheeshma Parvam' collecting Rs 80 crore at the box office (considered a big hit by Malayalam industry standards), followed by CBI 5 - Brain (Rs 50 crore) and Rorschach (Rs 17 crore).

Big egos, as is the norm in the Malayalam film industry, were clearly visible at the closing ceremony of the 27th edition of the International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK), when big star Mammootty's latest film was castigated by none other than Ranjith, Chairman of the Kerala State Chalachitra Academy, the event's organiser.

Ranjith, a multi-faceted cinema personality, was irritated when he was booed by a portion of the audience, largely young people, when his name was announced to speak at the IFFK closing ceremony.
