Kavya Madhavan is a popular Indian actress, singer, and lyricist, best known for her Malayalam films. Born on September 19, 1984, in Nileshwaram, Kasaragod, Kerala, she is currently 40 years old (as of 2025). With her versatile acting as well as elegant on-screen presence, Kavya began her career as a child artist in the film Pookkalam Varavayi (1991). She entered into lead roles in the blockbuster Chandranudikkunna Dikhil (1999), with Dileep.

Standing at a height of 5'4", Kavya hails from a conventional Saliya Hindu family. Her parents are P. Madhavan and Shyamala, and she has a brother called Mithun. She attended school at Nileswaram Rajas High School.

Kavya initially got married to Nishal Chandra in 2009 but divorced him in 2011. She later got married to Malayalam actor Dileep on November 25, 2016. The couple has a daughter and resides in Kochi.

Besides acting, Kavya is also a good playback singer and lyricist. Her first song,  "Mounamaay Manassil" in Matinee (2012) was received positively. She also brought out an album of poetry called Kavyadalangal.
