Currently, Vijay is occupied with the shooting of his 67th film, 'Leo', in Kashmir, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The movie is a high-budget action flick and is currently on a break before resuming the next schedule in Chennai. Interestingly, social media is buzzing about Vijay's next film, which is an unusual occurrence as the actor usually does not commit to any new projects until he completes his current ones. According to recent reports, Vijay's next project could be Thalapathy 88, and fans can look forward to it as the rumors suggest he will be teaming up again with one of his most successful collaborators to date.

Unverified reports suggest that Thalapathi Vijay is likely to announce his next project in the upcoming days, and there are strong speculations that he will reunite with director Atlee for the yet-to-be-titled film, referred to as Thalapathy 68. Vijay's fan groups have been tweeting about this potential collaboration, reminiscing about their earlier blockbuster hits such as Theri, Mersal, and Bigil. The movie is believed to be in the final stages of discussion, with Kalanithi Maran producing it for Sun Pictures, and renowned musician Anirudh Ravichandar expected to provide the music and score. According to the tweets, the film will be written and directed by Atlee, who recently wrapped up shooting for his debut Bollywood film, Jawan, featuring Shah Rukh Khan.

 

Upcoming Projects
Vijay's upcoming project is the high-voltage action flick "Leo," directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, featuring an ensemble cast including Trisha, Babu Anthony, and Gautham Menon. The film is believed to be loosely inspired by David Cronenberg's successful 2005 movie "A History of Violence," although the team has not made any official announcements regarding this. Manoj Paramahamsa is in charge of the cinematography, while Anirudh is composing the original score for this high-budget action extravaganza. The teaser, which was released a month ago along with the title, received an overwhelming response from fans, with Vijay portraying a lively new character.
