Coronavirus Second Wave: Telugu Movies Which Got Postponed

From the past one year, the unprecedented covid-19 has cost many precious lives and brought us to a new normal. Like any other industry the film industry also suffered huge losses due to the lockdown. 

Due to the first wave of coronavirus, 2020 has remained as the worst calendar year for everyone. But after the first wave of Covid-19 as we jumped to 2021 it looked like coronavirus has faded a bit. And Telugu industry was the first to kick start releasing movies in theaters. From krack to the recently released Vakeel Saab, telugu audience's encouraged every film with great enthusiasm and stood still to support the film business. 

But the present condition is so horrifying than the first wave. Keeping that in mind the upcoming summer releases stepped one step backwards and postponed their movies. 

Tuck Jagadish

Starring Pelli Choopulu fame Rithu Verma and Nani in the lead roles. Tuck Jagadish directed by Shiva Nirvana was scheduled to be released in theatres on April 23. But due to surge in covid-19 cases in both the Telugu states the movie got postponed.

 Love Story

Shekhar kammula is one of the best family directors in the Telugu film industry who does films on an occasional basis. After three years of fidaa. Sekhar kammula came up with "Love story". The movie stars Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi. The plot revolves around a girl and boy who leave their houses and move to the town to pursue their dream as dancer's. 

Virata Parvam

Virata Parvam is a beautiful love story in the backdrop of naxalites, it narrates the tale of vennela played by Sai Pallavi ( hardships she faced after falling in love with Rana Daggubati). The movie is directed by Venu Udugula and features Priyamani, Nandita Das, Naveen Chandra and Easwari Rao in pivotal roles. 

The makers of these three movies have postponed and said they will give the release date once the situation settles. During this hopeless times, the filmmakers of big movies like Acharya, Narappa, Pushpa, Major, K.G.F, Radhe Shyam, Akhanda, Khiladi, Drushyam 2 may also postponed and few may even go for an alternative option and fix a deal with an OTT platform if situation doesn't seem ok!.
