Kamineni Umapathy Rao the grandfather of Upasana Konidela was born in 1928 in Domakonda, Telangana and lived a great life with integrity and honesty. He was such a respectful and uncomplicated person until his passing away.

He was relentless throughout his journey, as he held several responsible positions from being Secretary Vice chancellor at Osmania University which was not known to many and serving as the first Executive officer of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam. Now, he breathed his last in his 90's due to age related sickness. He truly lived a great long life. His achievements and his kindness will always be remembered.

While sharing about his demise Upasana Kamineni shared a few interesting facts about Umapathy Rao Kamineni:

  • Mr Umapathy inherited the royal patrimony of Domakonda Samsthanam ( throne). He was even a retired IAS officer, and has served as a Collector for several districts.
  • Historical news flash is that Domakonda was ruled by the ancestors related to Umapathy Rao for over 400 years. 
  • Umapathy Rao has an only son, Anil Kumar Kamineni. His daughter is the wife of movie star Ram Charan and cutest granddaughter of Umapathy Rao.
  • As per Upasana he witnessed the Razakar movement in Hyderabad during the struggle for the integration of princely states into Indian domain. Not only that he also saw India's struggle for freedom and many other historical events closely.
  • He is familiar with his shayari as an Urdu poet. Whereas, he was also the First executive officer of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) ,and a senior civil servant. 

He's the person who is most faithful to religion, Great rules, selflessness and generosity. Rest in peaceful Umapathy Rao Kamineni.
