Born on November 18, 1984, as Diana Mariam Kuriyan, she is an Indian actress who primarily works in Tamil-language South Indian films. Nayanthara was born in Bangalore, Karnataka, India, to Omana Kurian, a member of the aristocratic Kodiyatt family from Tiruvalla, Kerala, and Kurian Kodiyattu, a Malayali Jacobite Syrian Orthodox. His brother Leno, who is nine years old, lives in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Because his father was an Indian Air Force officer, Nayanthara attended school in North India. She traveled for her studies to Delhi, Gujarat, and Jamnagar. She attended Marthoma College in Thiruvalla and Balikamadom Girls' High School in Tiruvalla to earn her bachelor's degree in English literature.
