In the middle of the 1990s, Sunny and her longtime partner Chris Candido both joined WWE. The 50-year-old had an affair with Shawn Michaels while working at the company. There were rumours that The Original Diva and Bret Hart, HBK's on-screen and real-life rival at the time, were in a relationship.

Sunny has long denied having a romantic relationship with The Hitman, but in her autobiography, "A Star Shattered: The Rise & Fall & Rise of Wrestling Diva Tammy "Sunny" Sytch," Sunny finally admitted it.

"Let's be clear about one thing: Bret had nothing happen to him. Just good friends, that's all. OK… I retract that. Bret experienced a certain event. something that nobody has previously heard of. In no interview have I ever admitted anything. Ever. Bret kissed me. Once. Just once. The kiss ended there because I had no feelings for him and only a very slight attraction "Sunny said.

She went on:

"In addition, I respected his family too much for me to humiliate them in that way. But I also had intentions. Bret and I did share my hotel room once. He arrived in my room, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. And he gave me a kiss. Just that, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to let you down. merely a kiss. no sparks Nothing further."

The 50-year-old also admitted in her book that Shawn Michaels wasn't happy with their friendship while they were dating and suspected it might have been more.

He believed she and The Hitman were having an affair after they split up. So, during a notorious promo with the Canadian legend, he said, "So I heard you've been having some Sunny days lately."

Sunny insisted, however, that while she was dating Michaels, she never had an intimate relationship with Hart. She added that she had a kiss with The Hitman after parting ways with HBK. Contrary to what The Show Stopper believed, it never turned into anything more.
