1. Putting the Pieces Together:

  • Arrange the carrom men in circles with the red queen in the center. Whites form a "Y" pattern, aiming for corner pockets.

2. Players' Positions:

  • Players sit on one side of the board and strike only from that side. The initial turn is decided by a coin toss.

3. Breaking:

  • The first player, playing white, takes the initial shot (break) with the striker, aiming to breach the circle in the center.

4. Turns:

  • Players take turns shooting the striker. If a piece is pocketed, the player continues to shoot until no piece is pocketed.

5. Covering the Queen:

  • If you've pocketed a piece of your color, you can pocket and cover the Queen. Failing to pocket your color returns the Queen to the center.

6. Shooting the Striker:

  • Skillful striker shots are crucial. The striker must hit both 'base lines' without touching the diagonal arrow line to avoid fouls.

7. Double Due in Carrom:

  • If the last one pocketed is a double deuce (striker), your opponent gains an advantage, taking two of your coins.

8. Playing a Round:

  • A round ends when a player pockets all their carrom men. The first to pocket all pieces, including the Queen, wins the round.

9. Carrom Fouls:

  • Fouls result in an instant turn loss and a penalty. The opponent places one of your pocketed pieces anywhere in the main circle.

10. Scores at the End of Each Round:

  • Count your opponent's remaining pieces on the board at the end of each round to determine your score. Pocketing and covering the Queen earns an extra 5 points.

11. Scores at the End of the Game:

  • The game continues until a player scores 29 points or more. The highest scorer is declared the winner. Enjoy playing carrom on GetMega App.
