Moneycontrol reports that the salary is in-line with the State Bank of India (SBI) Chairman, who earns approximately Rs 34 lakhs per year.

However, the stark reality paints a very different picture - the salaries of the top five private bankers range from 2.3 crores to a whopping 7.1 crores per annum.
