Top 10 Bollywood Murder Mystery Suspense Movies Ever Till 2022

Ittefaq (1969)

Ittefaq is a 1969 Indian murder mystery film starring Rajesh Khanna and Nanda. Ittefaq was directed by Yash Chopra under B.R. Films and is an approved remake of the 1965 American crime picture Signpost to Murder, starring Joanne Woodward.

The storey follows a painter who is accused of murdering his wife but denies it and is on the run to establish his innocence. It was recently recreated in Hindi with the same title but with a different storey starring Sidharth Malhotra and Sonakshi Sinha.

Ek Ruka Hua Faisla (1986)

Ek Ruka Hua Faisla is a Hindi remake of Sidney Lumet's Golden Bear-winning American film "12 Angry Men (1957)." The film "12 Angry Men" was, however, a teleplay adaptation of Reginald Rose's novel of the same name.

Basu Chatterjee directed the film, which stars Pankaj Kapoor, M K Raina, K K Raina, Annu Kapoor, and other well-known Bollywood actors. The film follows 12 jurors who are tasked with condemning a youngster for the murder of his own father, whether he is guilty or not.

Dhund (1973)

Sanjay Khan, Zeenat Aman, Danny Denzongpa, Deven Verma, Navin Nischol, and Ashok Kumar star in Dhund, a 1973 murder mystery thriller directed by B.R. Chopra and starring Sanjay Khan, Zeenat Aman, Danny Denzongpa, Deven Verma, Navin Nischol, and Ashok Kumar.

The film is based on Agatha Christie's classic 1958 play "The Unexpected Guest." The film's plot centres around Zeenat Aman's character Rani Ranjit Singh, who, along with her lover Suresh Saxena (Sanjay Khan), is the major suspect in the murder of her husband Thakur Ranjit Singh (Danny Denzongpa).

The film comes to a surprising conclusion in which neither Rani Ranjit Singh nor her lover is the murderer.
