Aastha: In the Prison of Spring is a Bollywood starring Rekha in the lead role. The film was directed by Basu Bhattacharya and tells the story of a married woman who turns to prostitution for material comforts that her husband couldn’t offer.

The debut movie of John Abraham and first movie featuring opposite Bipasha Basu. This movie is one of the A certified thrillers of Bollywood which opened the gates for such genre. This movie completely justifies the meaning of its title. The film was directed by Amit Saxena and it was a remake of 1981 Hollywood film Body Heat.

After the success of Jism, the demand for thrillers was increased in Bollywood. The next venture in this line was Murder starring Emraan Hashmi and Mallaika Sherawat. This movie made Emraan an overnight star. The movie was directed by Anurag Basu.

The 2004 thriller Girlfriend offers a bold approach towards the homosexuality which is considered not just a taboo in India but also illegal. It was directed by Karan Razdan, and the plot of the movie revolves around a love triangle.
