Hrithik Roshan has barely done any movies worth mentioning in the last 2-3 years. While Mohenjodaro was a flop, Kaabil was not a big hit. Hrithik was rumored to have gone into a shell following his dad's cancer diagnosis & his divorce. But his fans have reason to rejoice. He seems to be back in action!
Hrithik Roshan was a big thing in the mid 2000's. Starting off with a hit debut, Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai, produced by Dad Rakesh Roshan, he delivered a string of successful movies. His sexy looks, hot bod and killer dance moves made for a deadly combo.
The actor who starred in blockbusters like Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, Koi...Mil Gaya, Dhoom 2 and Krrish has been going through a rough patch lately. Over the last few years he hasn't been that active in Bollywood. With hardly any offers at hand and the only films he did manage bag failing miserably, life has not been kind to him. On top of that his marriage of 14 years to Suzanne Khan ended in 2014. He also had to go for a brain surgery for a subdural hematoma he suffered during the filming of the Hindi remake of Tom Cruise-Cameron Diaz starrer Knight and Day! titled Bang Bang!
If one thought things can't get worse, they were wrong. Soon afterwards Kangana Ranaut came with calling him her ‘silly ex’ and things getting dirtier with the two sending legal notices to each other. Hrithik worked with Kangana in Kites and later in Krrish 3. It was during the filming of Krrish 3 that the rumours started that the two were getting up close and personal. But things started to spill out of hands in 2016 when rumours started that Hrithik is the reason why Kangana was removed from Aashiqui 3. Hrithik took to Twitter to mention how he had better chances of dating the Pope than dating her and soon afterwards issued a legal notice in her name. Kangana hit back with a 21-page reply. Ouch! But, but it's 2019. And the stars are seemingly favouring the Greek God of Bollywood. Hrithik's movie Super 30 releases on the same day as Kangana’s Mental Hai Kya. That's surely a move Kangana least expected for the way her sister Rangoli Chandel outraged on twitter. By the looks of it, controversies are bound to intensify over the next few weeks.
Nevertheless, Hrithik also has a film with Tiger Shroff and Tiger has indeed confirmed that there will be a dance face-off between the two! That's enough incentive to draw crowds to the theatres. It's going to be Siddharth Anand's next and is under the YRF banner. Tiger expresses his excitement and eagerness to work with Hrithik. The movie which has been titled Fighters 2 and also stars Vaani Kapoor is slated to release this October. All that is known of the film is that Tiger plays subordinate role to Hrithik's character. Vaani is Tiger's love interest and quite interestingly Ashutosh Rana is the antagonist. He is also considering the script of Bang Bang 2 and might give a nod to it. He also has Krrish 4 lined up for release in December. This is surely going to be an interesting year for Hrithik who didn't have a release post Kaabil in 2017. Hope things turn out well for him.
